What You Will Be Doing Provides constructability and technical design input on temporary works construction designs to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements.
Designs and drafts construction methods for temporary works (falsework, shoring, temporary bridges, formwork, slopes, etc.), ensuring completeness and accuracy with regulatory standards and within the contract specifications.
Reviews personal and peer design elements to optimize project constructability, cost effectiveness and material quantities.
Conducts forensic analysis for post-construction items to support claims mitigation and dispute resolutions.
Submits design for peer review or approval review in an accurate and timely manner to avoid construction delays on the project site. Seals personal and team designs following approval review.
What We Are Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or related Engineering field required.
Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) required.
Proven knowledge of AutoCAD, RISA suite, LARSA and MathCAD required.
Proven knowledge of temporary works construction practices and constructability innovation techniques.
Proven success with creative, innovative and optimization strategies for construction challenges.
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills. Proven interpersonal skills used to defend, clarify and explain construction strategies and designs.
Clear, concise and efficient technical writing skills used in calculation packages.
Able to self-prioritize and track individual work with limited oversight.
Able and driven to mentor developing engineering team. Able to set clear expectations and support team to reach Company and departmental goals.
