As a Cloud Migration Engineer, you will support the planning, execution, and optimization of cloud migration projects.
Working closely with senior migration specialists, you will leverage a variety of migration tools and techniques.
This role requires ensuring smooth, secure, and compliant migrations aligned with industry standards (CMMC, CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Migration Support Assist with planning, executing, and documenting migration projects from on-premises and hybrid environments to Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft GCC/GCC High environments.
Conduct pre-migration assessments, including data analysis and migration readiness checks. Execute migrations and conduct post-migration validation to ensure data integrity, compliance, and correct configuration of cloud environments. Migration Tool Management Utilize various migration tools and methodologies to execute migrations effectively. Maintain detailed documentation of migration strategies, configurations, and outcomes following best practices. Provide technical support and training to internal teams on migration processes and best practices. Cloud Infrastructure & Security Support the establishment of secure and compliant cloud infrastructure aligned with standards such as CMMC, NIST SP 800 series, DFARS, and ISO 27001. Assist in configuring cloud environments, including network, storage, compute resources, and associated security controls. Compliance and Documentation Ensure migration projects maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks, including ITAR, DFARS, and GDPR. Document comprehensive migration processes, standards, and best practices. Collaboration & Training Collaborate closely with cloud security engineers, project managers, and cybersecurity analysts to align migration projects with security and compliance requirements. Develop training materials and documentation specific to cloud migration procedures. Qualifications:
This position requires applicants to have current, interim eligibility or previous security clearance .
Candidates must have held or currently hold a clearance, or have documented eligibility based on a favorable background investigation. Interim clearances will be accepted for consideration. All clearances are encouraged to apply.
U.S. citizenship is required by federal regulation. Applicants without any of the above  will not be considered at this time due to contract requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work/military experience. Up to 3 years of experience in IT, cloud migrations, or related fields. Basic knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, Microsoft GCC/GCC High). Familiarity with compliance standards such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and DFARS. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AvePoint migration tools.
Entry-level certifications such as Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), AWS Cloud Practitioner, or CompTIA Cloud+. Exposure to Microsoft 365 environments, specifically SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange. What We Offer:
Salary range: $110,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience.
