Trident Consulting is seeking a " Cloud Engineer ” for one of our clients in Charlotte, NC.
Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC preferred; Remote (EST) accepted for the right candidate
Duration: months with possible extension
Type: Contract (CC)
Job Description:
• The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills with extensive experience in AWS services
• Experience building and configuring automated systems with AWS Event Bridge
• Experience using Athena for querying S buckets
• Experience working with APIs and data extraction techniques
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Bachelor's degree in computer science\Computer Information Systems or years of applicable development experience.
• + years of experience with AWS services including Lambda, Glue, Aurora Postgres, Step Functions, API Gateway, S and SSM
• years (SQL/Python) writing advanced SQL in PostgreSQL including functions, SPROCs and views
• - years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
• - years of experience writing and aggregating logs in AWS CloudWatch
• - years of experience developing with PowerShell
• Demonstrated experience delivering validated software products, including standard SDLC documentation and testing deliverables
Top Must Haves:
. Extensive AWS knowledge (Lambda, S, Glue/ETL, Athena, Step Functions, Aurora, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc)
. Terraform
. GitHub Actions, CI/CD, CoPilot
Responsibilities:
• Build modules to manage and automate AWS SSM workflows
• Build custom comparison logic within ETL jobs using AWS Glue.
• Develop, document, and maintain custom developed applications built using PowerShell
• Participate in regular code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and provide technical support
• Collaborate with the Support team and other teams within the client's ecosystem to develop applications that meet specific user guidelines and needs
• Design and implement back-end services using AWS lambda, Glue, Step Functions, API Gateway, S, and Aurora Postgres
