Civil/Environmental Engineer Location: Montana and/or Wyoming | Full-Time | 6–15 Years of Experience
We are currently seeking a professional civil or environmental engineer with 6–15 years of experience and a BS or MS in Civil Engineering. This is a great opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and diverse engineering environment, with projects spanning civil, water resources, environmental, geotechnical, and transportation engineering . We’re looking for a motivated, self-starting professional engineer (PE) to join our collaborative team.
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll work on a wide range of impactful projects, including site design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, reservoir design and permitting, irrigation systems, transportation infrastructure, geotechnical evaluations, public engagement, and construction oversight. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to project management, client communications, and proposal development.
Key Responsibilities
Complete and lead engineering design tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Develop construction plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and bid packages
Perform regulatory permitting with agencies such as EPA, State DEQs, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Assist with and lead fieldwork, including surveying, site inspections, and construction administration
Conduct quality control and provide technical oversight of engineering deliverables
Participate in proposal writing, marketing efforts, and regular client interactions
Mentor junior staff and collaborate across disciplines
Support field construction efforts including reviewing contractor submittals, pay applications, and daily logs
Make technical decisions on design approaches, project scheduling, and budget planning
What We’re Looking For
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Montana and/or Wyoming (required)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field (from an ABET-accredited program)
6–15 years of relevant experience in civil or environmental engineering
Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (strongly preferred)
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable managing multiple tasks within budgets and deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
