Job Summary: The Civil Engineer will manage the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations. This role will work closely with architects, site supervisors, and project managers to translate plans into durable, efficient structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans
Ensure projects meet structural, safety, and regulatory standards
Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data for planning and design
Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and estimates
Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress
Identify potential risks or design flaws and propose solutions
Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to resolve technical issues
Ensure all construction practices comply with local, state, and federal codes
Requirements Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
2+ years of experience in civil engineering or construction engineering
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and engineering software
Solid understanding of building codes and structural standards
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license or on track to obtain
Experience in residential and commercial building projects
Familiarity with project management tools and processes
