As a Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team, you'll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. Qualifications
Positions available and Location Options:
- Mechanicsburg, PA orPhiladelphia, PA
- Mid-Level experience(4-8 years related Bridge Design Experience)
Ideal Candidates will have:
- At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University
- Ideal Candidates will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE license
General Responsibilities of a Structural Bridge Design Engineer:
- Review and check standard structural design calculations.
- Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
- Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
- Provide information for design reports.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction serviceassignments.
- Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
- Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
- Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
- Review and check drawings.
- Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation,etc.
- Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
