Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Designer, EIT to join a well established firm. This role requires advanced knowledge of Civil3D , MicroStation/OpenRoads , and Bluebeam , along with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local agency standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, project-level design experience, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare project-related documents, including plan sets, detail sheets, and cost estimates for bidding and construction.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and partner technical staff.
Coordinate directly with public agencies to ensure regulatory compliance and project approvals.
Utilize advanced functions of Civil3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, and Bluebeam to produce high-quality design documents.
Manage individual project scope, budget, and schedule, and maintain clear communication with the Project Manager.
Provide technical leadership and direction to CADD Technicians and Designers.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work culture.
Support team development and learn to build and manage project teams over time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a four-year college or university.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EIT certification or in progress.
Proficiency in Civil3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads, and Bluebeam is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with public agency design standards and approval processes.
Proven ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work independently within a team setting.
