The Phoenix Convention Center has two (2) Production Coordinator vacancies which are to be filled with the following focus areas :
Production Coordinator : This position is primarily responsible for p erforming technical work in the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of state-of-the-art theatrical systems, including audio systems, lighting systems, and manual rigging systems required to meet clients' needs for stage productions and other activities at the Orpheum Theater, Symphony Hall, and the Phoenix Convention Center.
Responsibilities also include advancing technical requirements for event productions; integrating touring company equipment with in-house systems; providing event cost estimates for event labor and rental equipment; scheduling and providing functional supervision over stagehands and security.
Audio Systems Engineer : Similar to the Production Coordinator position, this position is primarily responsible for audio systems design and integration, audio systems support during live event activity, reliable functionality of digital audio systems, related audio system components, equipment operation and troubleshooting, and the routine maintenance, inspection and repair for a variety of distributed audio systems located throughout the Phoenix Convention Centers campus of venues including proscenium theater venues and other large public assembly facilities.
This role requires a high level of knowledge, expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and artistic sensibility to ensure the reliable delivery of high-quality audio experiences for clients, performers and audience members. The Audio Systems Engineer works closely and collaboratively with Convention Center production technical staff and client production personnel to realize the consistent performance of networked distributed digital audio systems while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Some Major Responsibilities Of The Position Include
Designing, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting audio systems and related components.
Selecting and preparing audio system equipment necessary for client event activity, rehearsals and performances.
Operating digital and analog mixing consoles and related components.
Managing, maintaining and updating closed network digital audio distribution systems.
Performing routine inspections, maintenance and repairs of all audio system equipment.
Researching and recommending the advancement and improvement of existing digital audio systems and related components.
Coordination of event activity with clients and department staff.
Participation and collaboration in production meetings.
Preparing written reports for management.
SALARY
Pay Range : $31,82 - $42.64 hourly.
Hiring Range : $31.82 - $38.68 hourly.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and operation of electronic sound systems, stage rigging systems, and stage lighting equipment in a convention center, theater or other large public assembly facility
Supplemented by college level courses in electronics or communications engineering
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
Working irregular hours, second and / or third shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings will be required.
Moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.

Preferred Qualifications
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus :
Five or more years of experience in production systems experience and support within theatrical venues.
Experience and knowledge working with industry specific tools and diagnostic equipment.
Experience with advanced technical requirements for event productions.
Production or technical certifications.
Experience with installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of theatrical stage lighting systems.
Experience with the operation, maintenance and repair of counterweight rigging systems.
Experience in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of network audio systems.
Experience supervising industry professional such as stagehand personnel.
Experience coordinating live event activity in theatrical venues or large assembly facilities.
