Calportland - California Job Summary The Chief Mechanical Engineer supports efforts throughout the company to optimize the operation, performance, reliability, and efficiency of all manufacturing processes and equipment. This position also provides project management skills to ensure the successful development and completion of projects within budget and on schedule. Responsibilities Advises corporate and plant engineers and plant maintenance personnel in the implementation of best practices for reliability-centered maintenance. Provides budgeting and project management oversight for cement plant kiln relines. Ensures that reline budgets are tracked and monitored throughout the process. Supervises the Reliability Engineer who performs reliability engineering and failure analysis assistance at the operating plants. Evaluates and optimizes maintenance practices and equipment reliability throughout the company. Trains personnel in reliability and best maintenance practices. Oversees, advises, and manages related activities to ensure optimal plant performance.
