Chief Engineer - Facilities & Engineering - Full-time (Paris LV)

JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee the day to day operations of the Engineering department, assign tasks, approve time off requests, handle shift bids, and oversight of the personnel. Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Utilize proper communication with the team and other departments. Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. Display advanced knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interact with such programs. Display knowledge of CHP (Combined Heat and Power) systems. Work hand in hand with our 3rd party vendors, make sure the department is in compliance with OSHA standards, and building compliance. Maintain proper department records.Track costs and work within budgeted guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a minimum of 21years of age or older.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Coursework in skilled crafts or trades, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Ten (10) plus years' experience in Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and small appliance repair.
Five (5) plus years' experience working with automated systems, chillers, boilers, pumps
Five (5) years in a Management capacity
Advanced knowledge of basic MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Must possess a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfaction.
Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.
Strong problem solving and listening skills.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
Bilingual a plus - English/Spanish
Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds at a time.
Ability to push and pull heavy items and equipment.
Ability to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting.
Ability to work in an environment where pipe, cigar, and cigarette smoking is permitted.
Ability to multi-task several activities and duties simultaneously.
Ability to function and act independently.
Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively both written & oral.
Ability to function in a fast paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays
