WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE: Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for developing, color matching, testing and preparing glazes, and maintaining the Glaze Preparation Area; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success . Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of school and experience required Three to five years of applicable experience in a clay products manufacturing plant. Identify issues, problems and opportunities while maintaining effectiveness in changing environment Manage multiple priorities while achieving deadlines. Monitor departmental compliance with applicable local rules and regulation. Must be able to interact with all members of process team and managers. Must be able to communicate positively with shift managers and section leaders. Regular attendance is required. Experience with development of scope to identify and environmental needs for capital projects Must be able to operate a PC and various office equipment/technology; Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Must have a valid driver’s license to visit other Clay sites. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit. Frequently drive a personal vehicle to deliver bank deposits to local bank. Occasionally required to bend at the waist; Lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Up to 25% travel time required. Regular attendance is required.
