Responsibilities
This position is Monday - Friday 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. Given the weekly situations at the facility, you may be required to work nights/weekends to promptly solve any outstanding issues. Must have a DC 3rd Class License. You are eligible to earn OT in this role. This is very much a working Building Engineer/HVAC Mechanic. During any point in your shift, you may be troubleshooting, fixing, and overseeing:
HVAC systems
Chillers and chilled water systems
Building HVAC equipment
Boilers and hot water heating systems
Domestic water and plumbing systems
Electrical systems including lighting, motors, starters, contactors, etc
Pneumatic Control Systems
Qualifications
The Building Engineer/HVAC Mechanic performing the work shall have:
At least five (5) years experience as a Commercial Building Operating Engineer or Commercial HVAC Mechanic
Active DC 3rd Class License
Experience obtained within the past seven (7) years in the field of operating high-pressure steam systems over 15 psi
Operating refrigerant-based chillers with an operating capacity of over 100 tons (minimum)
Must have registered for Selective Service at the appropriate time
Must be able to pass government background check
