Our client, a leader in facility management, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the operations team supporting the maintenance and functionality of essential systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Building Engineer

Location: Athens, TX

What's the Job?

Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Maintain responsibility for facility services, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and technical proficiency.

Conduct cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimal performance levels.

Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.

Monitor and ensure compliance with safety procedures while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

What's Needed?

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

3+ years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.

Ability to analyze the operation of various Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems and take corrective action as needed.

EPA 608 Type II Certification.

Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
