Kimley-Horn's Jacksonville, Florida (FL) office is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Bridge Structures team. Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to work on bridges, retaining walls, and other structural design efforts related to public and/or private bridge projects throughout the country Prepare bridge/structural plans, specifications and estimates for clients As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions Qualifications
2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering Holds "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification Experience utilizing software programs for general structural analysis Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment Ability to work independently and as a team
