2 Days Old

s: In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education. The role is within the Counterparty Credit Risk Technology team part of the broader Capital Markets Risk Technology (CMRT) group. CMRT works with its business partners to identify, measure, aggregate and report firm-wide market risk. The counterparty credit technology team is specifically responsible for calculating various exposure metrics as well as monitor and report limits overages for counterparty credit. The group has an antiquated platform that they sit on now, need people to supplement the current team as the transition over the next 3 years. Will be working on the reporting side of the platform, developing reports as they start creating workflows. Apache Iceberg gives a database look and feel to how the data is stored and Dremio provides visualization on top of it. Parquet files are related to SQL tables but on a file server. Want someone who has used Dremio if at all possible. Those people may be hard to find, so they'll go to the top of the list if we see them, otherwise other major dashboards like Power BI and Tableau are acceptable. Would be one of about 20 onshore engineers for the project, a combination of FTE's, contractors, and SOW. Prior Lead experience to be able to train and mentor others would be phenomenal but can be flexible to have a heads down person that brings this type of skillset to the environment. Will be documenting best practices and configurations for Dremio in Confluence, working with the business to advise on how to use Dremio to write reports.
