Join our team as a Battery Systems Engineer to work on a team supporting the US Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Avionics Engineering.

What does this role look like?
As a Senior System Engineer, you will serve as a Certified Product Engineer (CPE) delegate for multiple FBM battery products. You will be supporting flight test operations, working closely with battery vendors, and participating in technical investigations.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Oversee the development and production of missile battery products
• Provide technical oversight for flight test operations
• Design disclosure preparation and release
• Detailed design
• Manufacturing process development and improvement
• Development testing and hardware qualification
• Discrepancy resolution
• Support to producibility, affordability, and obsolescence-driven re-designs
• Data Analysis
• Failure Investigation and Root Cause Corrective Action implementation

• 9+ years professional experience; 7+ years with Masters degree.
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.

Desired skills
• Previous or current CPE or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience with design, test, production and/or analysis of batteries or electro-chemical battery systems
• Experience in Mechanical Design with an understanding of electronics, structures, mechanics of materials
• Experience with Silver-Zinc battery chemistry
• Experience at conducting failure analysis (FA) and the use of FA tools such as radiographic (x-ray, CT scan) or Destructive Physical Analysis techniques
• Technical experience in full life cycle development of hardware including design, integration, and test
• Experience using CAD software such as Creo
• DoD Secret or higher level clearance
