Overview: GovCIO is seeking a talented and experienced Back-End Data Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in creating and maintaining robust data pipelines, managing cloud data integration tools, and providing analytics support using Power BI. This role is vital for ensuring a secure and efficient data flow across various platforms while enabling insightful business intelligence. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows utilizing Azure Data Factory (ADF) for effective data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) across cloud and on-premises sources. Optimize and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for high-performance in data operations and analytics. Configure and manage Self-Hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR) to facilitate secure data movement between on-premises and cloud environments. Implement scalable, available, and high-performance data infrastructure solutions across various environments. Collaborate with data analysts and business users to create Power BI datasets, calculated columns, and optimized queries for enhanced reporting and visualization. Monitor data flows, conduct root cause analysis on failures, and implement logging, alerting, and auditing mechanisms where necessary. Ensure adherence to data governance, security standards, and best practices during both development and deployment processes. Assist in developing security and accessibility protocols for information provided through Access to Care reporting to meet cybersecurity regulations. Qualifications: Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, including pipeline orchestration, linked services, datasets, and triggers. Strong knowledge of T-SQL, relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL, SQL Server), and performance optimization techniques. Experience with Self-Hosted Integration Runtime setup and troubleshooting for hybrid data integration. Familiarity with Power BI data modeling, DAX calculations, and report optimization. Understanding of cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure), data security, and access management. Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and deployment automation is a plus.
