Summary:

The AV Support Engineer is a crucial onsite role at the Live Command Center in Los Gatos, CA, focused on ensuring the seamless operation of all technical aspects for live events. This position involves close interaction with multiple teams to perform routine support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV and network equipment. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary technical contact, facilitating the continuous performance of the facility’s infrastructure and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for AV equipment and consumer devices.

Work closely with engineering and broadcast teams to diagnose and remedy issues with AV and network signals.

Update and maintain comprehensive documentation for system operations and configurations.

Train operators and end-users on the technical capabilities and use of room systems.

Available to work off hours, holidays, and provide support during live events as needed.

Must-Have Skills:

Extensive experience with AV systems and HDMI technology.

Proficient in IP networking and DHCP configurations.

Strong documentation skills, including familiarity with diagramming tools like Lucid Chart and Miro.

Industry Experience Required:

5+ years of experience in AV support, preferably in a broadcast or live event setting.

Background in live technology, IP video distribution, and troubleshooting across AV and IT domains.
