Talascend is currently seeking an Automotive Network Communication Engineer for a contract role with our client working on-site in Southfield, MI.
Overview
This role supports the Communication Integration team, enhancing in-vehicle communication systems using Vector PREEvision and related tools. It offers a collaborative environment within a fast-paced start-up focused on innovation in automotive technology.
Responsibilities
Design and implement vehicle communication systems using Vector PREEvision
Configure software architectures to support automated routing and diagnostics
Develop and maintain Ethernet, CAN/CANFD, LIN network data and artifacts
Implement E2E, DoIP, SOME/IP, and security protocols
Collaborate with engineers and suppliers on interface specifications
Perform automated quality checks and support network design verification
Conduct network simulations to optimize message latency and bus load
Assist in integrating communication functions into ECU software
Coordinate with Vector to customize PREEvision workflows
Manage multiple vehicle programs and variants
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience with Automotive Communication Buses (CAN/CANFD, Ethernet, LIN) and formats (ARXML, DBC, LDF)
At least 3 years of experience implementing Automotive Diagnostics (DoIP, DoCAN) based on UDS
Minimum 3 years of programming/scripting experience (Java, Python, CAPL, C/C++)
Experience with Vector CANoe or equivalent measurement and analysis tools
Experience with PREEvision is highly preferred
Strong collaboration skills and ability to manage multiple projects
