Employer: Moody’s Analytics, Inc. Title: Asst Dir-Financial Engineer Location: 405 Howard Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94105 Responsibilities: Analyze complex financial fixed-income instruments. Assist in implementing, customizing, and using analytic solutions. Reverse engineer Structure Finance transactions in Moody’s proprietary compliance engines. Model portfolio compliance tests based on indentures and legal documentation. Work with proprietary datasets to validate data points and update data and models for Structured Finance transactions. Support senior team members in maintaining and improving data and modeling processes, analyzing issues, researching solutions, and implementing improvements. Monitor developments in industrial technology, business, finance, and economic theory. Engage with clients for feedback and customization, while maintaining and improving existing logic and procedures. Adopt new technologies, including fine-tuned GenAI, to enhance efficiency and quality. Qualifications: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. At least one year of experience as an Analyst or in a related role performing quantitative financial or credit analysis within fixed income. Experience with econometric and statistical modeling, credit risk models, financial fixed income instruments, cashflow analysis, Bloomberg or related databases, programming tools (VBA, Python, SQL), and algorithms. Compensation and Benefits: For US-based roles, the salary range is $96,512 to $172,850 per year, depending on experience, education, skills, and location. The role is eligible for incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, 401(k), insurance, stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
