As part of the propulsion team, you will contribute to inlet development, engine integration and controls, testing, and qualification efforts.Come join the Boeing team as we develop next generation airplanes that will make aviation history.Position Responsibilities:Support the definition of requirements for propulsion systems within a model-based engineering environmentSupport the definition of functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicleSupport the configuration or design of propulsion sub-systems and components to meet all vehicle design and performance specificationsSupport a range of testing, analysis, modeling, and simulation activities aimed at predicting and validating system performanceSupport verification tests for propulsion sub-systems and componentsSupport the review, processing and approval of engine and component qualification documentationAssist with propulsion ground and flight test planningWork under general supervisionThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)This position requires ability to obtain and maintain special program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science2+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or work related experience with a Master’s degreeUnderstanding of the interactions between propulsion, aerodynamics, and flight controls as part of a collaborative Flight Sciences engineering teamKnowledge of internal and external flow characteristics related to inlets, nozzles, and engine operation with the capability to perform propulsion system analysis tasksTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
