Associate Geotechnical Engineer

Condor Earth has an immediate opening for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer in our Stockton, CA office.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Geotechnical Engineer performs feasibility, design, field engineering, and construction services on a variety of projects. The work will include supporting our engineering and environmental project managers on large projects and perform as a project manager on small and medium sized, and special projects with the support and guidance, as needed, from senior staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform all phases of geotechnical engineering investigations, analyses, and reports
Provide supervision and consultation with construction inspection staff
Prepare proposals, statements of qualifications, scopes, and budget estimates for geotechnical studies and earthwork inspection projects
Set up and/or assist project- and staff-level geologists/engineers with field investigation and laboratory testing programs for geotechnical projects
Review and stamp preliminary, design, and construction reports
Review project plans and specifications for conformance with geotechnical engineering recommendations
Assist senior project managers and professionals with civil engineering, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, and environmental engineering
Delegate work to other staff as appropriate.
Senior professionals shall provide collaboration and peer review of all work.
Logging of field exploration or supervising others that are performing field exploration
Communicate effectively with owners, designers, consultants, contractors, and co-workers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Five years' work experience is required in field of geotechnical engineering
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related major is required and a Master's degree is preferred.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of geotechnical and geological analysis software.
Current CA Professional Civil Engineer registration required and ability to obtain Geotechnical registration.
