Bar Lead + Hotel Assistant Manager Hybrid About Us We are an exclusive new 8-suite clubhouse and lounge in downtown Austin. The Role: Bar Lead & Operations Manager This is a hybrid leadership role for someone who thrives both behind the bar and on the floor. You will serve as the bar lead, while also acting as the on-shift property manager overseeing guest experience and daily operations. You are equal parts host, operator, and bar presence ensuring both the lounge and suites run seamlessly. What You Will Do Bar Leadership & Lounge Experience Lead the bar environment and uphold elevated service standards Support bartenders during peak periods (service, flow, guest interaction) Maintain ambiance (music, lighting, TVs) and overall vibe of the lounge Act as a visible, engaging presence for members and guests Guest Experience & Concierge Welcome arrivals, manage check-ins/outs, and personalize stays Anticipate guest needs with warmth, discretion, and attention to detail Handle VIP requests and create a seamless, elevated experience Operations & Property Management Own opening/closing procedures and daily execution of standards Conduct property walks, monitor safety/security, and maintain logs Serve as the calm, capable decision-maker on shift Housekeeping & Presentation Light housekeeping on days the housekeeper is off Inspect suites and common areas to ensure luxury-level standards Coordinate with housekeeping and stage rooms/amenities Keep all spaces guest-ready at all times Inventory, Events & Support Track inventory (bar + house supplies), receive deliveries Assist with lounge events and guest stays Jump in wherever needed, this is a hands-on role Schedule & Compensation 30-35 hours/week (weekends, nights, & holidays required) $25 an hour Requirements Texas TABC Certification (or obtain within 14 days) Texas Food Handler Certification (or obtain within 14 days) Ability to lift 35 lbs and be on your feet most of shift Reliable transportation to downtown Austin Background/reference check required U.S. work authorization Nice to Have Bar lead or supervisor experience Boutique hotel / members club background Opening experience (hotel, lounge, or hospitality concept) Familiarity with luxury housekeeping standards Education Bachelor's (Preferred)
