About Us
Warwickshire County Council is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join the Section 38 Team in Planning Delivery. The team is engaged in supporting the future development of Warwickshire’s transport infrastructure which is vital to supporting sustainable economic growth and prosperity. The developments dealt with by the team vary in scale, location and complexity, and the team is responsible for providing statutory highway advice to the Local Planning Authorities, pre-application advice, carrying out technical approvals and inspections for new road adoptions associated with developments throughout the County. Warwickshire County Council operates with a streamlined job description which encompasses both planning and technical approval/inspection work areas. The successful applicant will work in the team responsible for technical approvals where they will gain experience and develop their knowledge to develop their career. Key Requirements To be successful you will need the following: To be motivated, creative and organised
Willing to take responsibility for the success of your activities
You will need good analytical skills to develop an understanding of the impact of development on the highway network.
You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
You should possess a relevant degree or other qualification to NVQ Level 4 or a minimum of three years’ experience in a specialist discipline.
