Position Overview This position is for a prominent software company close to Downtown San Jose, CA. You will support the Chief Engineer in managing engineering operations and directing vendors and subcontractors. Responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of building systems, providing technical guidance, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage shift operations, assign work orders, and provide training to coworkers and subcontractors.

Review monthly tenant service request summaries to identify and resolve recurrent operational issues.

Develop a preventive maintenance program for machinery and systems.

Inspect systems to ensure proper operation within normal parameters.

Maintain inventory of supplies and tools, ordering necessary materials as needed.

Schedule preventive maintenance and downtime to minimize business interruption.

Perform repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, documenting all activities.

Respond promptly to emergency situations, requesting additional help when necessary.

Apply advanced knowledge to develop improved methods for achieving departmental and individual objectives.

Demonstrate expertise in own discipline and in-depth knowledge of other related disciplines.

Coach team members to develop expertise across functions.

Lead by example, embodying the company's RISE values.

Anticipate objections and persuade stakeholders, including senior management, to adopt new perspectives.

Contribute to the achievement of customer, operational, project, and service goals across multiple teams.

Follow functional policies that influence procedure and policy design.

Contribute to the development of new products, processes, standards, and operational plans.
