Job Summary
The goal of this position is to manage the ongoing sustaining activities to maintain approvals on current products as well as project based activities to add additional approvals to existing and new products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Coordinate and stand for all production audits as required for all contracted approvals agencies
· Maintain all approvals certificates for existing products
· Secure new approvals for existing and new products and work with engineers to guide the design to an approvable construction
· Maintain correct dataplate, manual and technical information
· Review ECN (ECO) for acceptability to current approvals status
· Adhere to all departmental and company-wide safety and procedural policies.
· Notify supervisor of any quality or production problems.
· Be a technical resource for the department

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Science, or Technology field from an accredited institution.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to clearly present findings in Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in Solidworks modeling and drafting.
