Responsibilities Collaborative Engagement: Work directly with assigned development teams, participating in design meetings and functional weekly meetings to provide security insights from the project’s inception. Vulnerability Management: Assist teams in identifying, prioritizing, and understanding vulnerabilities, ensuring timely and effective resolutions. Security Integration: Embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to promote a culture of security awareness. Proactive Communication: Quickly gather and convey all necessary information regarding development team security requests to facilitate prompt action. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with product owners and development teams to enhance security protocols and practices, staying ahead of the latest security trends.
Qualifications Must Have Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. Proven experience in application security, software development, or a related area. Strong understanding of secure coding practices and familiarity with common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Passion and willingness to learn information and/or application security. Minimum of 3 years of experience in C# and .NET MVC. Experience with identifying and mitigating application security vulnerabilities as identified by SAST, DAST, Etc. Proficiency in conducting security assessments and threat modelling Knowledge of secure coding practices, experience working with development teams, and ability to perform code reviews Strong understanding of DevSecOps principals and implementation Experience with incident response and risk assessment Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CEH, or OSCP preferred
