This will be a hybrid role out of Los Angeles, CA
As an Application Engineer II for Jira, you will report to a Manager, Information Technology in Los Angeles, California. You will join a multi-functional team collaborating to administer and support numerous Communications, Knowledge, and Work Management Tools.
As a Jira Solution Architect for the League of Legends (PC) work system, your role will be to design, build, and maintain work systems on the Jira Cloud platform to help operations teams leverage the full potential of Jira Cloud. You will work with skilled and passionate teammates, as well as trusted partners inside and outside the organization.
You will collaborate with leaders across various studios, including unreleased projects and non-gaming ventures. You will support a complex ecosystem of geographically distributed teams and processes with one goal in mind: empower these teams to focus on doing their best work and have an amazing experience in Jira.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with game producers and operations leads to understand, translate, and implement Jira Software-based configuration updates to support team goals.
Develop and maintain unified views (dashboards, boards, and reporting) in Jira Software to support operational reporting at scale.
Review, adjust, and implement user-requested modifications to existing work systems.
Provide end-user training on Jira Software Cloud native features and popular add-ons such as Structure, EazyBI, and Zephyr Scale.
Deploy Jira configuration updates from sandbox to production environments, including Change Management activities.
Design, build, and advocate for reusable and scalable solutions for game operations tracking on Jira Software Cloud.
Author and maintain operational process documentation, runbooks, technical designs, and shared standards.
Required Qualifications
4–6 years of experience with Jira Software Cloud.
2+ years of experience with Structure.
Experience working in a Jira Cloud Platform environment at scale (100+ projects, 1,000+ users).
Experience building work systems on Jira Cloud for large initiatives involving several teams and hundreds of users.
Advanced proficiency with Atlassian Jira Cloud Software and popular add-ons (Advanced Planning, Automation, eazyBI, ScriptRunner, Structure, Custom Charts).
Experience in large, multi-person technical efforts, including hybrid teams with full-time employees and third-party vendors.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
Strong remote working skills, including asynchronous communication and timely updates on progress and blockers.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, including documentation and presentations.
Desired Qualifications
1+ years of experience with Groovy scripting in Jira (ScriptRunner).
Proficiency integrating Jira with Slack for custom workflows.
Proficiency with Atlassian Analytics.
Experience with Atlassian Intelligence and Atlassian Rovo.
Experience with configuration management platforms like Salto.
Experience in Portfolio Management, Capacity Management, and Project Management.
Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as SAFe and LeSS (or equivalent).
ACP-620 Managing Jira Projects for Cloud Certification.
ACP-120 Jira Administration for Cloud Certification.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
