OPPO US Research Center is seeking a talented and experienced AI engineer to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing AI algorithms on cloud. Duties & Responsibilities Design, deploy, and evaluate LLM-powered agents, tools, and orchestration approaches to enable complex multi-step reasoning and automation. Design, develop, and optimize inference stage techniques such as RAG, CoT, and Prompt Engineering to guide LLM behavior and ensure consistent, reliable outputs. Develop frameworks and tools to benchmark and evaluate advanced LLM capabilities across different scenarios and datasets. Build and maintain data pipelines grounded in real-world business scenarios. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into production workflows. Requirements Requirements Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or a Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience. Proficiency in Python and/or C++. Proven hands-on experience in computer vision / machine learning projects (e.g., LLMs, VLMs, diffusion models, cloud/mobile deployment). Solid understanding of multimodal AI and Large Multimodal Models (vision-language). Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of industry experience deploying LLMs in cloud environments. Strong publication record in top-tier conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV) and/or granted patents in CV/ML. Expertise in mobile ML stacks (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, Qualcomm SNPE, MediaTek APU). The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000-$200,000 + bonus + long term incentives benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
