Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Aerospace Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sierra Vista, Arizona. This role will play a critical part in the design, development, and testing of aerospace systems, satellites, etc. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong background in aerospace engineering, a passion for space exploration, and a desire to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, analyze, and test aerospace components and systems for the proprietary aerospace platform, including structural, propulsion, and avionics subsystems.
• Conduct simulations and modeling to optimize vehicle performance, aerodynamics, and orbital mechanics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to integrate systems and ensure mission success.
• Support prototype development, fabrication, and testing in both lab and field environments.
• Perform data analysis from tests and missions to drive design improvements and validate performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and mission requirements.
• Contribute to technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and system specifications.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, with a focus on spacecraft, launch vehicles, or satellite systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB, STK).
• Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, aerodynamics, propulsion systems, and structural analysis.
• Experience with hardware testing, including environmental, vibration, and thermal vacuum testing.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., NASA, FAA, MIL-STD) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical documentation and collaboration.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required due to ITAR regulations.
