Creating & Manipulating complex solid models Inspection and repair markups, including comments and graphics, to provide guidance for structural analysis of the repairs. This includes obtaining internal approvals, facilitating government approval, and coordination with the repair sources Assist in creating technical documents that will provide engineering requirements for repairs. Familiarity with typical repair and manufacturing processes including welding, brazing, riveting, and coating processes including plasma spray a plus Interfacing and coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines to promote the exchange of necessary data in support if engine builds. Technical data review & interpretation Experience/Qualifications Experience working with Pratt and Whitney Aerospace Ability to read and interpret repair requirements read and interpret part blue prints Ability to understand, apply and interpret ASME Y14.5M standards Have strong working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) Have technical writing skills Familiarity with MS Office products and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills Compressor/Turbine, Mechanical System and Static Parts hardware experience Mandatory requirement - A working-knowledge of gas turbine engine operating theory Standard operating procedures, root-cause analysis, mistake-proofing is desired Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, time management skills and the ability to work well with multi-disciplinary groups is required Excellent attention to detail 8 or more years of relevant experience is preferred This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders], or have refugee or asylee status.” Skills & Experience Aerospace, Aerospace Engineering, CAD Drawings, Design, Engineering Research, Strategic Planning, Turbine Engines Cyient is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
