Job Summary:The student works with the Advanced Process Engineering team and with Program Management on the development and implementation of new production equipment at all Constellium's manufacturing sites. This includes the evaluation, development, feasibility, design, cost estimation, and preparation of "Statements of Work" (SOWs).This will also lead into appropriation requests and reviews of vendor bids and drawings. They also assist with production activities such as continuous improvement, maintenance, workshops, and the production part approval process.ResponsibilitiesResearch and develop, select and implement, maintain and improve (to achieve) the most economic and efficient manufacturing processesEnsure implementation of lean concepts in flow, layout and inventory planEnsure the workplace is in alignment with latest EHS, OHSAS, MIOSHA (and other applicable standards, e.g., for robots) and ergonomic rules and guidelinesKnowledge of manufacturing technologies used in Constellium such as machining, forming and weldingPreferred:Teamwork oriented with the ability to assist in cross-functional teams and projects to achieve desired resultsProficient in CAD (2D & 3D) software as well as Microsoft Office including Project and VisioStrong mechanical background, with knowledge of fabrication methods, is a plusTool and die, forming, bending, trimming, and machining experience desiredEngineering major going into senior yearAbout Constellium Van BurenConstellium Van Buren is a state-of-the-art production facility that produces customized aluminum automotive structures and crash management systems for our OEM customers, and features advanced development and prototyping capabilities.
